Daytrips from the Lake

The Hepburn is in a fantastic location — a beautifully secluded town that feels off the grid, but is actually close to wineries, shopping, the beach and the city. The town where it’s located, Greenwich, NJ, is interesting in its own right. It’s home to bald eagles, historical reenactments, and even a Tea Burner 5k to kick off the Cumberland County Historical Society’s Artisans’ Faire.

South Jersey is home to quite a few wineries, a map of which can be found here. Depending on when you stay at The Hepburn, there may even be a race at one of the wineries as part of the Run the Vineyards series.

If you’re looking to stock the fridge for your trip and taste some Amish delicacies without having to make a trip to Lancaster, PA, check out The Greater Bridgeton Amish Farm Market.

There are lots of local places to find antiques including The Yellow Garage and the Old Mill Antique Mall in Mullica Hill, as well as South Jersey Auction in Logan Township. If you’re looking for more luxurious shopping, there are amazing retail options an hour’s drive in either direction in both Philadelphia and Atlantic City.
